Carnival Sunshine Cuts Bimini After Nor'easter Delay

Carnival Sunshine sailed from Norfolk on Monday, Sept. 28, a full day late, after a nor'easter slowed its return from an 8-night Canada cruise. The 6-night Bahamas sailing is now 5 nights. Bimini is canceled. Nassau (Wed., Sept. 30) moves from 8 a.m.–4 p.m. to 1 p.m.–9 p.m. Celebration Key (Thu., Oct. 1) is unchanged, and the ship is still due back in Norfolk Sat., Oct. 3.

Carnival is refunding one prorated day of cruise fare to the original form of payment, plus one prorated day of amenity packages and prepaid gratuities to Sail & Sign accounts. Bimini excursions booked through Carnival are canceled and refunded automatically; Carnival-booked Nassau tours move to the new time where possible. Tours you booked with local operators are yours to cancel or change.
